English Courses
At Small World Schools we believe the interests of students come first. As such we have made it a point of students and parents. Small World Schools teaches in the local school system and also runs programs in our own private institution, As mentioned the specifics of class sizes do not exceed fifteen students at our institution and twenty in the public schools. We also insist that scheduling of classes is beneficial to both students and teachers.
Classes are radically different from those of the local teaching methodology. We feel that the best way to learn is to be actively engaged the material. To accomplish this we have drawn together a huge resource of games, songs and learning activities. As a result classes not only help students communicate orally in English ,but they also have a great time doing so.
Kids’Camps
To further enhance the learning experience we have also designed a curriculum based on life experience. So instead of spending time in the classroom, teachers lead small groups of students on field trips. For example, students while talking about animals, will actually go to the Zoo. This allows them to build a language structure based on what they see and hear . This program is particularly useful for students planning on going abroad to study or travel.
Summer Camp & Winter Camp
Small World Schools has also created China’s first Western-style residential sports sports camp. While oral English is an important aspect of this program, we focus on self-confidence esteem and independence. It gives us the rare opportunity to introduce new sports and games that are not typically available to students in China.
