Guilin Tour
The great appeal of Guilin is its karst limestone topography which creates the stunning scenery of jagged green mountains beside clear blue waters. It is said that the mountains and rivers of Guilin are the most picturesque in the world. Cruising down the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is a highlight. The Tang dynasty poet Han Yu described the Li as "a blue silk ribbon surrounded by jade hairpins" and the river is just as beautiful today.
Guilin Tour Day 1 (D)
Arrival / Guilin
Pickup from the Guilin International Airport by our guide and be transferred to Caoping, about 40 minutes drive from Downtown Guilin, stay in the local hotel/hostel, leisure on your own for the rest of the day.
Guilin Tour Day 2 (B,L)
Crown Cave / Yangshuo
Wake up in the morning in the surprise for the beautiful surroundings of Li River. Visit Crown Cave in walking distance. Take the Li River Cruise to Yangshuo after 1 hour visit in the cave. Chinese lunch will be served en route. .
Crown Cave, located in Caoping Village, 29km south of Guilin city, is one of the most famous tourist spots along Li River. Taking the shape of a crown, this cave, standing on the bank of the Li River, for hundreds of years, has attracted countless poets, scholars and nobles. In 1637, Xu Xiake, an ancient traveler in China, visited here and was regarded as the first visitors to this cave.
The 83-km-long waterway from Guilin to Yangshuo is the masterpiece of Li River, decorated with rolling hills, steep cliffs, fantastic caves, leisurely boats and lined bamboos. A poem says: "The river is a green silk ribbon, and the hills are jade hair-pins."
Later this day you will arrive at Yangshuo. You can also choose to stay in the town, stroll around the local market, witness the daily activities of local society. Or you might enjoy a class for Chinese Tachi in Yangshuo at sunset.
Guilin Tour Day 3 (B)
Yangshuo / Depart
From 6:30 to 9:00 am, cycle for 2 hours from Yangshuo to Aishan Village in the early morning, you will arrive at the Licun village and then you continue you bike ride on the trails to Yangshuo. After a hot shower in the hotel, you will be transfer by company vehicle to take bamboo rafting for two hours on Yulong River through limestone mountains and trails.
Later today you will be transferred to Guilin Airport for return flight.
