Kaili city is the capital of Miao and Dong Minority Autonomous Prefecture and the central market town in the southeastern Guizhou.
In the city of Kaili, two places are worth to visit. The first one is Kaili Museum, where you can have a background knowledge of all minority native culture in this area;
The second thing is the Sunday market, market, held every five days. Set along the river, the market retains its amazing size and atmosphere as well as many of its wooden homes and buildings. The Miao and Dong Minorities from the surrounding villages endows the market with their unique characters. They put on their costumes and carrying shoulder poles trading in the market. One would feel that it is indeed not an ordinary market.
Most of travelers come here by road, you might either take a taxi for 2-hour ride from Guiyang airport, the road system is quite good between Guiyang and Kaili; Also, many people fly to Guilin, drive 3-4 days through the remote mountain areas of Longsheng, Sanjiang, Zhaoxing, Congjiang, Rongjiang, end their trips in Kaili and Guiyang.

Arrive at Guiyang Airport, met by our English speaking tour guide and transfer to Kaili by public long distance bus.
Kaili Tour Day 2 Kaili - Langde (B, L)
Cycle for 35 km along the Bala River will take us to the village of Langde , a real gem with the typical architecture of Miao people "Stilt Wooden House". Enjoy the colorfully decorated Miao Women's beuaty, appreciate them embroideries, exquisitely designed costums and silver ornaments.
Kaili Tour Day 3 Kaili - Qinman (B, L)
To Qinman Mial Village (30km), visit another branch of Miao people. Enjoy the customs hairstyles and silver ornaments. And enjoys the performance of dancing and singing. overnight in Kaili for night.
Kaili Tour Day 4 Kaili - Anshun (B, L)
Pay a visit to the Kaili Museum , it will leave you an overall view of the ethnic costume in Guizhou. Visit Qingman , a quiet village inhabited by the Folded & Silkfelt Miao , where we will learn about their culture.
Drive from Kaili to Xijiang Township, Leishan county, explore the biggest Miao village, " One Thousand Family Miao village ". In the afternoon, we will reach Maomaohe village, which is known for its Long-Skirt Miao, a subgroup of Miao ethnic minority group. We will have dinner with local people and gain a better understanding of life and customs in their area.
Later today you will take bus or train for 2 hours to Anshun.
Kaili Tour Day 5 Anshun (B, L)
Bicycle tour to Caiguantun Village, enjoy the performance of "Ground Opera" (Dixi in Chinese, named as the living fossil of China Opera's history and can be traced back to the Ming Dynasty). Ride 25 km to Huangguoshu, a visit to the traditional architecture of Buoyi People (Stone Village).
Kaili Tour Day 6 Anshun - Guiyang (B, L)
Ride to Tianxin, noted for its stone forest on the water. and also enjoy the Huangguoshu Waterfall, later today you will be transferred by coach to Guiyang for night. Visit Huangguoshu Waterfall in the late afternoon.
