Rice Terrace Photo Tour

Daily tour to Longsheng.  We offer round trip transfers by company van or car.   If you decide to stay overnight and continue to visit other attractions and villages in nearby areas on the Dragon Backbone Mountain ( Tell you truth, it happens a lot), there are local public bus transfer service between Longji to Guilin. The cost is USD 3 per person. You will have a chance to travel with local villagers and their animals, like chicken, goats,pigs...Sorry for no refund from our driver, 'ause the poorly guy has to drive alone back for himself on the mountain road to Guilin.

Itinerary:
Guilin to Longsheng (L)
Transfer by: Drive
Tour starts at 8:00 am. You will be picked up from the hotel in Guilin. It will spend 2 hours from Guilin to Longsheng by car. This is the best place for taking the photo of the huge terrace.

Two different routes available:

Program A -  PingAn Rice Terrace and Zhuang Ethinic Culture visit. 

Program B -  Jinken Rice Terrace and Yao Ethinic villages. 

You will having Chinese lunch in a local restaurant.   Later today, you will be transferred to Guilin.

Information:

Longsheng is famous for the Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces: 60square kilometers of terraced rice fields southeast of Longsheng. They were first built in the Yuan dynasty and completed in the Qing dynasty by Zhuang people. The terraced fields are built along the slope winding from the riverside up to the mountaintop, with the highest place of an elevation of 885m and the lowest 380m. The coiling line spirals up from the mountain foot to the top, making the mountain looks like huge snail seen from afar.

When talking about Longsheng, in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, people are likely to mention the beautiful terraces, but for me it is the local women with their long and black hair who are the locality's most charming feature.  More details
