Route

Beijing is an enormous city of nearly 15 million people, with one of the oldest cultures on Earth. So it's no wonder Gray Line has divided the city's vast history into two tours. Tour I begins at Tian'anmen Square and the more recent page from China's history book, Tian'anmen Square and the cultural revolution of Chairman Mao Zedong. You will tour the grounds and see Tian'anmen Tower, monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People, and Mao's monument.

Then it's on to the legendary Forbidden City, now known as the Imperial Palace Museum. The history of every dynasty is represented here throughout four palatial halls. Many of our tours see the highlights here, but this gives you the most in-depth visit.

After a substantial lunch, your final destination is the aptly named Temple of Heaven, dating from the 15th century. Built in the Ming and Qing dynasties, the Temple of Heaven was the center of prayer, traditional ceremonies and sacrificial rites. It's a busy day, but will also include a visit to the Jiangan Silk Factory for a shopping experience not to be missed.

If you wish to take the second part of this tour - Tour B of Historical Beijing, it will be held on the following day for your convenience. .

Tour includes hotel pick-up and drop-off, air-conditioned coach, transportation tax, parking fees, English-speaking guide, Lunch, and all admission tickets.

*Child is age 3-11, Infants aged 1 year and under are free of charge, providing they sit with an accompanying adult.

Remarks:

We have join-in groups available in Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and Guilin.  

Our English speaking tour guide will pick up passengers from different hotels at about 8:00 to 8:30 am in each city, take them to see the most famous attractions, and take them back to different hotels at 17:00 pm in the afternoon. Chinese lunch en route will be included in local Chinese restaurants.

The difference of private tour is: All of our private tours are tailor made for every customer, lots of local activities available, and you have private vehicle and private tour guide, save you time on waiting for other passengers (Sometimes it happens).

The benefits of join-tours are: less expensive than private tours, especially when you are travelling alone, and you have chance to share your experience with friends with multipal background from different nations.
